Dr. Nandagopal began her career in 2007 as an assistant professor at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and remained in that position until 2010. From 2010 to 2016, she owned the Serenity Behavior Science Center LLC, providing specialized care and developing innovative treatment plans tailored to individual needs. She continued to hone her skills as a child and adolescent psychiatrist at Harbor, a mental health clinic in Toledo, Ohio, from 2016 to 2023.

Dr. Nandagopal earned her medical degree from Topiwala National Medical College in Mumbai, India. She underwent rigorous training in general psychiatry at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and College of Medicine from 2002 to 2005. She further solidified her expertise by completing a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry from Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in 2007.

Dr. Nandagopal holds board certifications in adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is licensed to practice medicine in Florida, Ohio, Washington, Colorado and Texas. She has contributed to the professional body of knowledge through her research work and publications in several journals and textbooks.

Many of Dr. Nandagopal's patients have chronic disorders that can cause severe disruptions in their daily lives without early diagnosis and treatment. However, by applying appropriate interventions, she can halt the progression of these illnesses.
