MAHOPAC, NY, April 03, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elizabeth A. Tedesco, MME, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Tedesco is a distinguished music educator and the owner of Putnam Music Center, where she has been instrumental in transforming the store's focus to include a broader range of musical education. Since 2024, she has leveraged her expertise to teach violin and viola, provide voice lessons and conduct choir sessions. Her role also involves managing the procurement of sheet music and musical instruments, ensuring that the center meets the diverse needs of its students. Her dedication to music education is further exemplified by her introduction of five new group classes and the conversion of a back room into a group classroom, aimed at engaging children in community events and demonstrating the enriching power of music. Ms. Tedesco started as the violin/viola teacher at Putnam Music Center in 2016, before becoming the owner in March of 2024.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Tedesco gained valuable experience through her involvement with the Songcatchers after-school music program, where she became a volunteer violin teacher at just 17 years old. This volunteer work not only provided her with essential teaching experience but also solidified her passion for a career in music education. By the age of 20, Ms. Tedesco began her early childhood music certifications and started an early childhood music program at Songcatchers. Her commitment to fostering musical talent is also evident in her long-standing membership with the World Civic Orchestra since 2010, where she collaborates with musicians from around the globe to create biennial concerts. Ms. Tedesco also performs with Putnam Symphony Orchestra which provides two family-friendly seasonal concerts a year.

Ms. Tedesco's academic achievements have played a significant role in her professional success. She earned a Master of Music in performance and education from Campbellsville University in May 2023, a feat accomplished while balancing full-time work and family responsibilities. Additionally, she holds a bachelor's degree from Concordia College. Her Kindermusik and Musikgarten Certifications further underscores her dedication to providing high-quality music education.

Throughout her career, Ms. Tedesco has attributed her success to her adaptability in the ever-evolving world of digital music and computer software. She emphasizes the importance of incorporating new technologies, such as recording and digital media, into her teaching methods. She also values kindness as a crucial element of her approach, considering the diverse abilities and disabilities of her students to ensure they make progress and feel proud of their achievements.

In recognition of her contributions to music education, Ms. Tedesco has received several accolades, including being featured in a local publication and receiving both the Outstanding Volunteerism award in 2013 and Music Teacher of the Year from Songcatchers in 2011.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Tedesco prioritizes spending time with her family and enjoys playing the violin, listening to music, attending her children's soccer games and watching her children engage in robotics projects. In the upcoming years, she aims to emphasize the interconnectedness of music, art and science within the community. Having started dancing at the age of two and began playing the violin at five, she seeks to advocate for greater participation in and appreciation for music alongside traditional academic disciplines like math and sports.
