Before her tenure at Hitachi Energy Ltd., she was the design-to-value leader at ABB from 2017 to 2019, where she focused on optimizing product value and cost efficiency.

Ms. Fluhrer's career also includes significant roles at GE Power, where she was the HRSG product cost manager from 2016 to 2017, and at Alstom Power/GE Power as the global quality process and integration manager from 2015 to 2016. Her earlier positions at Alstom Power included head of supply chain quality assurance for hot gas parts from 2014 to 2015 and quality assurance director for a large gas and thermal manufacturing platform from 2010 to 2014. Before her roles in the energy sector, she worked for the Gleason Corporation for 12 years, transitioning from engineering to operations management roles in the automotive and aerospace sectors. She began her career as a product engineer at Garlock Sealing Technologies from 1994 to 1998.

Ms. Fluhrer's educational background includes a Master of Science in manufacturing management and leadership and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, graduating in 2004 and 1997. She is also a certified quality and organizational excellence manager through the American Society for Quality, an organization she is actively involved with. Her academic achievements have been instrumental in her ability to apply complex methodologies such as Advanced Product Quality Planning across various industries.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Fluhrer supports community initiatives and educational outreach through her local chamber of commerce. These efforts reflect her commitment to fostering educational opportunities and supporting community development.

Outside her career, Ms. Fluhrer is dedicated to her family life with her husband Steffen and their children Corvin, Ferenc, Emily, and Lily.
