At Alcanza Clinical Research, Dr. Maxwell played a pivotal role in streamlining processes and driving organizational growth. Having joined the company as chief patient experience officer in 2022, he advanced to chief operating officer within the same year and remained in that role until his 2023 promotion to chief marketing officer. His tenure as chief of clinical research strategy at Life Line Screening from 2021 to 2022 further solidified his reputation as a forward-thinking leader in the field.

Dr. Maxwell first discovered his passion for clinical research in 2007 at the Atlanta Institute for Medical Research, which was founded by his mother, Nicole Maslanka. He continued to build his expertise with significant roles at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America—progressing from clinical research coordinator to manager of clinical program development—and later at Accel Research Sites, where his leadership in patient recruitment and retention led to executive roles as chief operating officer and chief executive officer from 2018 to 2021. During his tenure at Accel, Dr. Maxwell led an acquisition of a larger competitor and supported COVID-19 vaccine development.

A committed lifelong learner, Dr. Maxwell earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia in 2006, a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University in 2011 and a Master of Science in human environmental science and interactive technology from the University of Alabama in 2015. He completed his Doctor of Business Administration at the Florida Institute of Technology in 2024 and further enhanced his expertise with a certification in AI for Business from the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently studying psychology at Harvard University Extension.

Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Maxwell is dedicated to advancing clinical research and community well-being. His leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic in central Florida, where he effectively managed critical vaccine services under challenging conditions, demonstrates his ability to drive innovation even in times of crisis. He is an active member of the Society of Clinical Research, has served on the steering committee for the Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative and contributes as a board member for Together We Can. His volunteer work with the Macon County Government animal shelter further highlights his commitment to community service.

Dr. Maxwell's impactful contributions have been recognized with accolades such as the Trailblazers Award from Business North Carolina in 2024 and the Outstanding Student of the Year Award from the Florida Institute of Technology's Bisk College of Business in 2022. He is also the author of "Trial by Trust," a book that explores innovative approaches to clinical research and patient engagement.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Maxwell enjoys spending time at the beach, playing golf, engaging in photography and working with animals.
