Mr. Kingsley has earned a distinguished reputation as an expert perfusionist at Tufts Medical Center, where he performs between 700 to 800 heart surgeries annually. His role involves setting up the heart and lung machine, preparing drugs from the pharmacy, handling paperwork and charting and managing circulatory support such as extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. Mr. Kingsley's career in the medical field was influenced by his mother, a respiratory therapist, who introduced him to the opportunities within the health care sector.

Before accepting his current role, Mr. Kingsley served as a certified surgical technologist at Maine Medical Center from 2019 to 2022. During this time, he proudly secured a patent for the Bayonet Surgical Scissor in 2021 and served as director of the Maine Association of Surgical Technologists. Notably, Mr. Kingsley also served honorably in the United States Marine Corps as an infantry squad leader and rifleman from 2013 to 2019, a tenure that provided him with keen leadership skills that have proven invaluable throughout his professional journey.

Mr. Kingsley's academic background is extensive and diverse. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of New England, a diploma in surgical technology from Maine Medical Center School of Surgical Technology and a post-baccalaureate certificate in pre-medicine from the University of Southern Maine. He also graduated with a Master of Science in clinical perfusion from Upstate Medical University. Mr. Kingsley's passion for continuous learning prompted him to pursue certifications including a perfusionist license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Perfusionists and the designation of clinical perfusionist from The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.

Mr. Kingsley remains actively involved in several organizations, including the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization and the American Academy of Cardiovascular Perfusion, and he served as a search and rescue team member with the Civil Air Patrol from 2005 to 2012. He has co-authored several publications on ECMO and protective mechanical ventilation, contributing significantly to advancements in treating acute respiratory failure. Mr. Kingsley's commitment to excellence has been recognized through awards such as the Jeanne Lange Excellence in Professionalism Award from State University of New York Upstate Medical University, which he humbly accepted in 2024, and induction into the AST National Honor Society by the Association of Surgical Technologists in 2019.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Kingsley enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his wife and two children. He also finds joy in fishing, playing drums and traveling. Looking toward the future, Mr. Kingsley aims to continue developing his expertise in heart failure treatment and advancing his knowledge in this critical area of medicine.
