Earlier in his journey, Dr. Lambert held positions such as principal of sales and commercial excellence at Oxygen Experience from 2015 to 2017 and as leader of the sales excellence community of practice at GP Strategies Corporation from 2012 until 2015. His foundational experience in sales enablement includes his role as a senior analyst at Forrester between 2010 and 2012.
Prior to joining Forrester, Dr. Lambert served as the director of the sales enablement center of excellence at the Association for Talent Development from 2006 to 2010, following his time as a managing consultant and trainer at ReveGrowth Inc. from 2004 until 2006. He gained foundational experience in sales as an enterprise sales executive at Dun & Bradstreet between 2002 and 2004. From 1995 to 2001, he served in the U.S. Air Force as a captain of logistics, as well as a training and maintenance officer, laying the groundwork for his leadership skills and strategic thinking.
Pivotal in preparing Dr. Lambert for this diverse career was his academic background, which began with a Bachelor of Science in business and math from the University of Central Florida in 1995. He subsequently earned a Master of Science in human resource management from Central Michigan University, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in organization and management with an emphasis in sales from Capella University in 2011. In addition to his educational accomplishments, he holds numerous certifications, including as a certified cloud practitioner from Amazon Web Services and an account-based experience certification from Demandbase, underscoring his commitment to continuous learning and innovation.
During his career, Dr. Lambert has been recognized for his expertise in sales with a variety of accolades, including being named a Top 10 Sales Enablement Thought Leader by Miller Heiman in 2018 and a Most Influential Leader by Sales & Marketing Management Magazine in 2016, as well as earning the Forrester Innovation Award in 2011. He further demonstrates his professional growth acumen as a member of the International Society for Performance Improvement.
Beyond his professional roles, Dr. Lambert's influence extends to his involvement with civic-minded organizations. He founded Orchestrate Sales, served as a certified mentor with the SCORE Association, co-founded the Sales Enablement Society and chaired the Ubuntu Mission. His dedication to community service is further exemplified by his volunteer work with United Way. As an author, he has published several works, including "The AI Lead: Overcoming Data Drag to Accelerate Digital Dominance" in 2025 and "World-Class Selling: New Sales Competencies" in 2016.
