Before his tenure at T&C Management, Mr. Sheldon served as the chief executive officer and president of The Sheldon Family LLC. He was also the senior vice president of investments at Colliers-International from 2000 to 2016 and worked as a broker for Grubb & Ellis between 1999 and 2016. Mr. Sheldon's career began with a long-standing commitment to public service as deputy director and team leader at the U.S. Forest Service from 1967 to 1999.

Mr. Sheldon's educational background includes an Associate of Science from Portland Community College in 1972, a bachelor's degree from Portland State University in 1977 and a Master of Business Administration from New Mexico Highlands University in 1984. His academic achievements have been instrumental in his success, providing him with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complexities of the corporate world. He also holds certifications as a certified property manager from the Institute of Real Estate Management, Chapter 46 New Mexico, since 2012, and as a certified commercial investment member from The CCIM Institute since 2002.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Sheldon has been actively involved in civic organizations. He served as the president of the Institute of Real Estate Management in 2019 after serving in the same capacity for the Apartment Association of New Mexico from 2013 to 2016. His dedication to community service was evident through his role as a coach and supporter for over 300 children who obtained scholarships from 1984 to 2010.

Among Mr. Sheldon's most notable achievements was the initiation of gentrification in New Mexico in 2009, transforming buildings and upgrading them to meet standards for providing low-income housing. Since then, his efforts have resulted in rehabilitating over 700 units and helping hundreds of individuals secure rental properties and get off the streets.

Mr. Sheldon's contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, including the Paragon Award for Redevelopment and Management by the National Apartment Association in 2013 and the Certified Property Manager of the Year by the Institute of Real Estate Management in 2015. His most significant achievement remains his efforts in providing housing and support to those in need, offering them a second chance at life.
