Mr. Partin has established a distinguished career in the field of automation controls programming, serving as the supervisor of automation controls programming at Corning Incorporated since 2024. In this role, he collaborates with a team of engineers to ensure adherence to a standardized programming language, utilizing his expertise in controls programming and machine learning. His journey with Corning Incorporated began in 2021 when he joined as a controls engineer, quickly advancing to senior controls engineer within the same year.
Before his tenure at Corning Incorporated, Mr. Partin honed his skills as a controls engineer at Weinig Holz-Her USA in 2020. Prior to that, he served as a robotics and automation engineer at Sen-Pack from 2018 to 2020 and completed a brief stint as an electrical spacecraft technician with ASRC Federal in 2018. He began his career as an electrical engineer at NASA, serving in this position for 18 months directly after college. He is very proud of being on the team that built the Orion spaceship while employed at NASA.
Mr. Partin's early career include roles at Spectrum as a technician from 2004 to 2014 and as a telecommunications contractor for the preceding three years. He also served as an electrician assistant at Farmco Electric from 1999 to 2001.
In addition to his civilian career, Mr. Partin served in the U.S. Army from 1991 to 1999, achieving the rank of airborne infantry squad leader. He has also been an active member of The American Legion since 2015, continuing his work with veterans and their families.
Mr. Partin's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Daytona State College. His academic achievements have been complemented by numerous certifications, such as FANUC Robotics from FANUC America Corporation, TwinCAT 3 from Beckhoff Automation USA and SolidWorks Electrical from TriMech.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Partin is actively involved with civic organizations like the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and the Wounded Warrior Project. He enjoys woodworking, furniture making and cooking in his free time. Looking ahead in his professional life, he aims to continue in management roles where he can mentor younger engineers and foster their growth within the industry.
