Mrs. Carter's foundational experience in the industry began with positions at Georgia Heritage Bank and an earlier role as a mortgage loan originator at DC Bank starting in 2006.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Mrs. Carter has been and continues to be very active in her community, having been affiliated with such programs as the Meth Alliance of Paulding, Cops for Kids of Paulding, Prevent Child Abuse Paulding, and Citizens for Paulding Seniors. Previously, she was an ambassador for the Paulding Chamber of Commerce from 2006 to 2015 and an American Red Cross volunteer for disaster and emergency services between 2007 and 2012.

Mrs. Carter's academic foundation laid the groundwork for her career shift into the mortgage industry after initially working in printing and advertising. As such, she completed a certificate course through Taylor, Bean & Whitaker in 2006. She also received credentials as a licensed loan originator in Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Florida. Mrs. Carter remains abreast in her industry as a member of the West Georgia Board of Realtors, where she also served as a board of director.
