Before launching her own practice, Ms. Velez Diaz worked as a senior auditor for the Defense Contract Audit Agency beginning in 2008, serving in multiple states across the country. Her background in financial investigations strengthened her ability to handle intricate legal and fiscal challenges. Her early legal journey began as a legal secretary at Cerra & Parga Law Offices and Gaztambide & Cerra Law Offices from 2004 to 2007, followed by clerkships with McBride, Scicchitano & Leacox, P.A., Catholic Charities of Central Florida, and LatinoJustice PRLDEF from 2014 to 2015.

Her professional experience also includes roles as a Department of Defense auditor from 2008 to 2014, a tax accountant at Ríos Accounting, Inc. in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and administrative positions that laid the foundation for her work ethic and attention to detail.

Motivated by personal life experiences, Ms. Velez Diaz pursued law to promote social justice, equality, and opportunity. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.B.A. in accounting from Inter-American University of Puerto Rico–Metropolitan Campus in 2008 and earned her Juris Doctor from Barry University's Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in 2015. She also completed coursework at St. Thomas University Benjamin L. Crump College of Law and Mitchell Hamline School of Law. She has also served as general counsel for the Hispanic American Professional & Business Women's Association (2023–2025) and as a board member of the Hispanic Bar Association of Central Florida (2023).

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Velez Diaz treasures time with her family and enjoys travel and outdoor adventures like biking. As a proud mother of two daughters, she draws strength from her family to navigate the demands of career and life. Her husband is her rock and steadfast supporter—his encouragement, alongside the inspiration of her children, fuels many of her projects and aspirations. Together, their love and unity inspire her journey as a woman, mother, and legal advocate.

Looking ahead, she is focused on expanding her firm, mentoring new attorneys, and continuing to make time for family adventures and moments that truly matter.
