Her military service includes several key positions, such as director of the commander's action group at Headquarters United States Army Intelligence and Security Command and deputy commander of the Intelligence and Security Command, commander of the National Ground Intelligence Center, and senior intelligence officer (J2) for Special Operation Task Force in Afghanistan. She completed multiple tours in Iraq as senior intelligence leader. Completing her classroom education, she holds certifications in national security and strategic studies from the Joint Forces Staff College and information systems and simulation from the University of Texas.

Committed to excellence, Ms. Brooks has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the three Legion of Merit and six Bronze Stars from the U.S. Army. She has also been awarded multiple Meritorious Service Medals and is an active member of the Army Science Board, the Association of the United States Army and the National Association of Corporate Directors.
