Prior to his current position, he was the director of marketing and business development at the same firm, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the company's market presence and fostering business growth.

From 2016 to 2021, Dr. Matthew made a substantial impact at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) in Washington, D.C., where he excelled in asset management. His most notable achievement during this period was leading a team of project managers to revitalize the authority's asset management strategy, which had been struggling for four years. Within six months, Dr. Matthew and his team successfully turned the situation around, showcasing his exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills.

Before his tenure at WMATA, Dr. Matthew served as a principal consultant at Ukay Accountants (CPA) from 2013 to 2016. His career also includes a significant period as manager of fixed assets at Etisalat Nigeria before immigrating to the United States from 2008 to 2013, where he was responsible for overseeing the company's asset portfolio and ensuring optimal utilization.

Dr. Matthew's journey in finance began with roles such as financial operations manager at MTN from 2005 to 2008 and financial accountant at Conoil PLC from 2003 to 2005. He started his professional career as an assistant financial controller with Doctors Without Borders from 1999 to 2002. Throughout his career, he has also been an active member of industry-related organizations, such as the Institute of Management Consultants USA and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

Academically, Dr. Matthew holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical studies from Newburgh Theological Seminary, completed in 2015. He also earned a Master of Business Administration in international business management from Lagos State University in 2007 and a higher national diploma in accounting and finance from The Federal Polytechnic, Bida in 1999. Reflecting on his career, he attributes much of his success to his upbringing, which instilled in him a natural inclination toward planning from a young age.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Matthew is deeply committed to ministry work and his family and enjoys playing soccer, listening to music and traveling in his free time.
