GRUNDY, VA, April 11, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Patty M. Street has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Street has dedicated over 45 years to her profession. She is currently associate director of student services and event coordinator at the Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, Virginia. Since 2012, she has been instrumental in managing various aspects of student services, including scheduling for the school, meeting with students throughout the day, organizing school events such as graduation, and the awards banquet and attending Student Bar Association meetings. Ms. Street's expertise in interacting with students and thorough leadership skills has been a cornerstone of her career.

Before her tenure at the law school, Ms. Street worked in human resources for Buchanan County Public Schools. During her time there, she enjoyed a rewarding collaboration with the Special Olympics, which spanned over a decade and is one of her proudest achievements.

Ms. Street graduated from Grundy High School and completed college coursework at Southwest Virginia Community College in Cedar Bluff. She attributes much of her success to the influence of her parents, Tommy and Hazel Deel, who instilled in her a strong work ethic, and to her mentor, Joyce Presley, who guided her professional journey.

Ms. Street's commitment to education and community service is reflected in her involvement with the Town Council in Grundy. She has also been active as a Sunday school teacher and youth director at Tookland Pentecostal Church, New Life Fellowship Church, and Dismal Holiness Church for over 40 years and serves as a board member for the local police department. Ms. Street's volunteer efforts extend to donating blankets for children. She also dontes to Comopassion to support a child from Uganda.

Becoming a published author, Ms. Street's book, "The Schools of Buchanan County: The Past and The Present," will be out by the end of 2025.

In light of her success and dedication to helping others, Ms. Street has been recognized through multiple accolades, including three Staff Member of the Year Awards. She was also the recipient of a Dean's Mallot Award. In preparation for the future, Ms. Street intends to continue contributing to her town by bringing more events and business opportunities to the forefront while working with children and the elderly in the community.
