WHITEWRIGHT, TX, April 14, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Roger H. Howe has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Howe is a distinguished taekwondo master and the owner of the Whitewright Martial Arts Center. With a career spanning multiple disciplines, he successfully balanced his passion for martial arts with a full-time position at Bank of America until his retirement in 2016. His dual career allowed him to develop a unique skill set characterized by discipline and perseverance, which he continues to impart to his martial arts students and applies in his professional endeavors.
Mr. Howe began his journey in martial arts in February 1988, culminating in earning his first-degree black belt in taekwondo in 1992 under the tutelage of a ninth-degree grandmaster. He initially co-managed a martial arts school with a friend, and after four and a half years, he assumed full ownership when his partner departed. As the taekwondo master and owner of the Whitewright Martial Arts Center, he has dedicated himself to teaching and mentoring students, ensuring the center's success even during periods of low enrollment by utilizing his income from his banking career.
In addition to his martial arts ventures, Mr. Howe has had a notable career as an Air Force pilot. He was assigned to the 41st Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadron, initially stationed at Hamilton Air Force Base before relocating to McClellan. His achievements as an Air Force pilot remain among his most significant milestones.
Laying the foundation for Mr. Howe's accomplishments in both banking and martial arts was his educational background, inclusive of a bachelor's degree from Purdue University, which he earned in 1970. He attributes much of his success to determination, inspired by Winston Churchill's advice to "never, never, never give up"— a philosophy that has been particularly meaningful throughout his life and career.
Looking ahead, Mr. Howe aims to achieve grandmaster status by testing for a 7th-degree black belt in taekwondo when the opportunity arises. He remains committed to personal growth and development while continuing to inspire others through his dedication to martial arts and community involvement.
