CHICAGO, IL, April 14, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Justin Dauer has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With a core belief that "design is connection made manifest," Mr. Dauer is an internationally renowned design leader, author and public speaker with particular expertise in design strategy and organizational culture. As the founder of Anomali by Design LLC, he has dedicated his career to helping clients and establishments connect with their audiences through digital design, marketing and product design. His medium-agnostic approach allows him to tailor creative processes to the specific needs of each project, ensuring quality output. Additionally, he assists companies in building effective and collaborative teams by fostering innovative cultures and integrating creativity into organizational strategies.

Before founding Anomali by Design, Mr. Dauer served as a principal design consultant at Vervint from 2021 to 2022. In this role, he provided strategic guidance on design projects and helped clients enhance their user experience. As a vice president of human-centered design and development at CVS Health from 2017 to 2021, he was pivotal in shaping the company's design strategy and cultural engagement approach within its benefits administration organization.

From 2012 to 2016, Mr. Dauer served as the design director at Nansen, where he led a team of front-end developers in creating innovative digital solutions for clients. Earlier in his journey, he was an interactive art and technology supervisor at Merkle Inc. from 2010 to 2012 and was a creative director at Xeno Media from 2005 to 2010. His foundational roles include working as a lead interface designer at Hostway Corporation from 2002 to 2004 after serving as a visioneer at i2 Technologies from 2000 to 2001, during which he designed web application user interfaces for clients such as Nike and IBM.

Mr. Dauer's proficiency in design strategy, organizational culture and public speaking has earned him recognition as a thought leader in his field. He is an active member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and frequently engages with their speaking events. His contributions to the industry have been spotlighted in Forbes magazine and Medium's Forge publication.

A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in visual communications in 1998, Mr. Dauer attributes his success to a lifetime of humility and continuous learning. His passion for visual problem-solving was ignited during a high school design class, which led him to pursue a career that blends strategy with creative design to drive connection. In recognition of his accomplishments and commitment to invention, Anomali by Design won the JETRO Japanese Companies Innovation Challenge in Design in 2024.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Dauer is committed to civic engagement as a volunteer with The Honeycomb Project, a nonprofit organization that specializes in family-oriented volunteering. Also a prolific author, he has penned several influential works, including "In Fulfillment: The Designer's Journey," published in 2023. He published "Cultivating a Creative Culture" in 2017, followed by a 2nd edition renamed "Creative Culture: Human-Centered Interaction, Design, & Inspiration" in 2019. These books detail Mr. Dauer's creative methods for supporting and engaging employees throughout their careers.

In his first book, "Cultivating a Creative Culture," Mr. Dauer coined the term "The New Day One" to describe his human-centered method for hiring new employees. This concept emphasizes the values a designer must employ in their craft, which include empathy, compassion, curiosity, and connection, to obtain a spatial and environmental understanding of who the new teammate is and what inspires them, valuing their unique voice in actions over words. The New Day One has been implemented by countless agencies and organizations, transforming hiring practices and corporate cultural values. Mr. Dauer's articles have appeared in publications such as CEO World Magazine and A List Apart, reflecting his ability to share knowledge and insights through various mediums.

Outside of his career, Mr. Dauer enjoys collecting Japanese selvedge denim and watches, traveling internationally and savoring quality coffee at cafés around the world. A resident of Chicago, he is happily married and a proud father of two children. Determined to expand his horizons in the coming years, he plans to increase his public speaking opportunities, write another book and grow Anomali by Design to become an influential leader in the technology sector.
