BUFFALO, NY, April 14, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lawrence "Larry" Covino has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Mr. Covino has established a distinguished career in services, engineering, and business management, which is marked by his innovative contributions and leadership roles. He began his career in 1979 at Bently Nevada, joining the organization as a service technician. He grew Bently Nevada's offerings by introducing and developing turnkey and design and installation services. These services marked a transition point for the company, opening up more retrofit opportunities in its existing industrial installed base. Over the next two decades, Mr. Covino earned numerous high-level positions, including North American services manager, corporate accounts manager and global projects sales leader.

When Bently Nevada was acquired by GE, Mr. Covino enjoyed his tenure under the company's new ownership. Initially, he worked in the power services division and then co-created their reliability services offering, partnering with an industry-recognized asset management services company. As the need for asset management offerings grew, he was instrumental in managing GE's acquisition of a global industrial asset management software company.

After transitioning into an asset management solution architect role, Mr. Covino advanced to principal and SME roles, while helping lead their asset management solutions globally. Through his roles in the global industrial and energy segments, he helped make the world a safer and more reliable place. Mr. Covino has traveled to all but two states in the U.S., 39 countries and countless cities and towns around the world to work with industrial customers. He retired from GE in 2022.

In retirement, Mr. Covino continues to manage TISCO Inc. as its president, a position he has held since 2009. Managing this real estate rental property business, a joint venture started with his elder sister, TISCO Inc. once owned five locations and currently owns three. Leveraging his services background, he performs most of his own maintenance along with upgrades and enhancements at these properties.

Beyond his contributions to TISCO Inc., Mr. Covino and his wife, Michele, have co-owned Threaded Needle Art with Heart since 2022. Mrs. Covino, a talented fabricator, creates custom decorations, stockings, tree skirts, travel jewelry bags, purses and more. The business expanded to include Mr. Covino's woodworking efforts, which he calls "Perfectly Imperfect Wood Creations." His works include charcuterie boards, epoxy river tables, live edge tables, benches and similar items. To promote their work, they attend local artisan shows and have some items on display at a store in Rochester, New York, for sale. Mr. Covino's educational background includes an Associate of Applied Science in electrical engineering from the State of New York Erie Community College in 1979. In addition to his professional accomplishments, he is actively involved in supporting civic organizations, such as the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. His commitment to training, teaching, mentoring and supporting others emphasizes the importance of fostering growth and development among those around him.

Mr. Covino's entrepreneurial spirit led him to develop many solutions and business opportunities during his working and personal career, throughout which he has garnered tremendous success and recognition. His contributions have been recognized with several accolades, including the Growth Awards Services Leader award from General Electric in 2005 and the Growth Champion award from GE Energy in 2006. Mr. Covino also published several articles during his tenure at Bently Nevada and GE.
