Having served the State of Oklahoma in various capacities since 1993, Mr. Odle is currently a program manager, a title he has held since 2008. In this role, he oversees the HIV case management program for the Department of Human Services, ensuring that individuals receive the necessary support and resources to manage their health effectively. In addition to his administrative duties, Mr. Odle is an adjunct professor at Southern Nazarene University (SNU) and is the practicum director for the Family Studies and Gerontology program. His academic involvement allows him to impart his extensive knowledge and experience to students pursuing careers in human services.
Mr. Odle's educational background has been instrumental in his career achievements. In 2014, he earned a master's degree in human services counseling with a focus on marriage and family from Liberty University. This advanced education provided him with a deep understanding of family dynamics and counseling techniques, which he applies in his professional roles. Additionally, he holds a bachelor's degree in family studies and gerontology, which laid the foundation for his work in human services.
Mr. Odle maintains membership in several professional organizations, including the American Counseling Association, the American Psychology Association, the Association for Adult Development and Aging, the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors, and the Professional Association of Social Workers in HIV/AIDS. In 2012, the Oklahoma AIDS Care Fund recognized his contributions to the field with the Richard May Award. He has also received an Outstanding Young Men of America award and an Evergreen Spirit Award.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Odle is actively involved with civic-minded organizations such as the Key to Home Partnership and End HIV Oklahoma, and he actively supports St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Wounded Warrior Project. These affiliations reflect his commitment to giving back to society and supporting causes that align with his values.
Mr. Odle is proud of his ability to help individuals discover their true potential and reach their highest aspirations. He attributes his success to his strong faith and desire to convey to others that they have inherent value. His goals include ensuring the longevity of his program, which has been operating for 35 years. He is developing a succession plan and training future leaders to solidify the program's foundation so it can thrive and meet the future needs of Oklahomans living with HIV/AIDS. Additionally, Mr. Odle plans to continue teaching and serving as the practicum director at SNU, further contributing to the development of aspiring human services professionals.
