She then pursued a doctorate at the University of South Alabama, where she focused on developing therapeutic strategies for lung disorders. Her groundbreaking research during this time led to the discovery of a new molecule with potential therapeutic applications for acute respiratory distress syndrome. Following her doctoral studies, Dr. Haldar served as an associate physician scientist at the EMS Pandemic Response Research Laboratory under the Health Advocacy and Medical Exploration Society Inc. and as a pre-med instructor at DuxVitae from 2020 to 2021.

Dr. Haldar's academic background is extensive. She received a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from The West Bengal University of Health Sciences in Kolkata, India, in 2008, a Doctor of Medicine in biochemistry from R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital in 2014 and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of South Alabama in 2020. Her education has been instrumental in shaping her career path and enabling her to make significant contributions to cancer research.

In addition to her professional affiliations, Dr. Haldar is actively involved in several civic organizations, such as the Health Advocacy Program and Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, where she volunteers her time and expertise. She has also participated in advocacy programs and cancer awareness initiatives, demonstrating her commitment to public health education and community engagement.

Notably, the American Cancer Society's signature fundraising team of volunteers has expressed a keen interest in Dr. Haldar's research project on pancreatic cancer. As a result, they have chosen to recognize her grant as the American Cancer Society – Charlotte County, Virginia, Trucker's Parade Against Cancer – Fellowship Grant.
