TUCSON, AZ, May 27, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- DCM TexDyne of Cleveland, Ohio has signed a contract with The Offshore Group of Tucson, Arizona for the provision of outsourced manufacturing support, or "shelter" services in Empalme, Sonora, Mexico. The company has signed a lease agreement for the rental of 38,771 square feet of industrial space at The Offshore Group's Bella Vista Industrial Park. At the project's maturity DCM will employ approximately 100 direct labor employees.
According to the company's Vice President of Strategic Planning and Global Sourcing, Joe Golla, "Our decision to establish an operation in Mexico was predicated on a desire to offer our customers a low cost North American solution. We have great faith in the productivity of the workforce located at The Offshore Group's interior location at Empalme."
DCM is a manufacturer of fractional horsepower Wound Field & Permanent Magnet DC motors, Axial Fans, and Radial Blowers. The company's products are widely used in the specialty vehicle markets for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. Applications include truck, bus, agriculture, marine, construction, and automotive. All of DCM's products are manufactured to meet USA design specifications using quality components.
The Tucson-based Offshore Group currently provides outsourced manufacturing support, or "shelter," services to 60 global companies in the automotive, aerospace, electronics, HVAC, medical device and general manufacturing industries.
