Consumers have expressed frustrations towards long line-ups, slow selection process, poor customer service, and not being able to see inside the machine. Every DVDNow kiosk has a clear glass panel in the front, which allows consumers to directly view the available selections. Since consumers can immediately tell how many DVDs are in the machine and which titles are available, the selection process occurs faster and line-ups are significantly reduced.
In addition to showing customers the DVDs upfront, the 250 Touch model of kiosk is equipped with both a 15-inch LCD screen for browsing through selections, as well as a large, high-definition, flat panel television which plays previews for many new-release movies.
