DALLAS/HOUSTON TX, August 11, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Job Security is Hypnotic
There may be some debate on whether the worst of this current economic recession is over, but there is consensus amongst economists that the national unemployment rate will still continue to rise for rest of 2009. Currently, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 9.7 % of the Labor Force in the United States is out of, or seeking employment.
With statistics like that, it should come as no surprise that College students rank job security as their number-two priority for their careers, behind opportunity for advancement according to a survey by the National Association of College Employers. The survey was recently quoted in a fascinating feature on Kiplinger.com entitled "Recession Proof Careers".
Even in areas of the country usually immune to economic fluctuations, such as Houston Texas, the harsh realities of the current situation are being recognized. According to the Houston Business Journal (July 17th) the Houston metro area's unemployment rate (not seasonally adjusted) jumped to 8 percent after 36,200 people joined the civilian labor force. That compares to 6.9 percent unemployment in May and 5 percent unemployment in June 2008.
One of the sad facts of the new reality economy is that "job security" is a double edged sword. As business' and corporations restructure and cut back to run a leaner business model many workers who prize security are being squeezed inadvertently and sometimes deliberately by unscrupulous bosses to "do more, with less, and for less". In other words, one worker does the job of two or three other people just so they can keep their job.
The challenges for those entering the job market, either for the first time or as the result of being laid off are sobering. The key to achieving security may be not to enter the job market at all, but to actually think and act outside of the corporate/business box. "Just don't play their game; play the way you want to play with the rules you make up."
Says Celeste Hackett, a Board Certified Hypnotist, business entrepreneur and owner of a new State Licensed career school in Texas for Hypnotists.
Celeste goes on to say - "Seek out careers with stable prospects in both good economic times and bad. Careers that can't be outsourced to a foreign land, careers that aren't dependant on consumer spending habits and most importantly careers not held hostage to a single industry or a Wall Street financial report." Ms. Hackett reports a recent surge of interest from potential students wanting to control their own destinies away from corporate oversight.
The majority of potential students enrolling in Celeste Hackett's classes are coming from larger metro areas such as Houston, Austin, and San Antonio where there have been recent growing unemployment numbers. "People recognize the fact that they may have to drive to Dallas to receive the best hypnosis training in Texas from a State Licensed Career School. They consider that a small price to pay for the opportunity to be their own boss in a business with low start-up costs and unlimited possibilities" she adds.
Most experts agree that one of the few growing industries in the future will be Health Care, due to the aging of the demographics of the United States. However, with the possibility of turmoil in the Health Care Industry due to federally mandated rules, regulations, rising costs and possibly even direct federal intervention and control, the once rosy future of healthcare is looking a little under the weather.
Once again Celeste Hackett has seen evidence that her industry, Hypnosis and Hypnosis Education, may be on the cutting edge of those seeking career stability and freedom from corporate cost cutting even within the once stable health care industry. "In a recent class", she says. "I had a student who happened to be a Registered Nurse. She was attracted to becoming a Certified Hypnotist for the opportunities it afforded for independence from draconian health care corporations, insensitive insurance companies and cold blooded CFO's".
"It's not just the medical profession that's waking up to Hypnosis," says Celeste. "It's a broad spectrum of people across the world looking for effective results and resolutions to their problems in a quick, relatively inexpensive way. Let your subconscious help solve your problems, after all, it's the place where most of your problems began!
"Being a Certified Hypnotist allows you the freedom to start your own business at a low start up cost, set your own hours and frees you from corporate control. It gives you the opportunity to be in control of your own destiny" she adds. "The human condition, in good economic times and bad does not change, people will always be looking to lose weight, stop smoking, understand their emotions and enhance their lives with better habits and behaviors. They will always be willing to pay for that type of help. Hypnotists help people."
Ms. Hackett is a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists, the largest and oldest educational corporation for hypnotists founded in Boston, MA in 1951. Ms Hackett also is the owner of Family First Hypnosis in Plano where she sees up to 20 clients per week. Family First Hypnosis has been in operation since 2006 and sees a variety of issues such as Stop Smoking, Weight Loss, as well as many other behavioral problems. The hypnotist also receives referrals from doctors and psychologists for issues such as phobias, depression and chronic anxiety. She is board certified by the NGH and is also a Certified Professional Hypnosis Instructor.
"My students learn to work with a variety of issues and do real hypnosis that really works" says Celeste. Classes are scheduled throughout the year with the next one in September 2009. Tuition is offered at an introductory price of $1995, but discounts are available for early registration.
