COLUMBUS, OH, August 19, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Artromick, a leading developer of medication management and healthcare technology solutions for the long-term and acute care markets, recently named Paul J. Guth as president and CEO. Guth has been instrumental in the evolution of Artromick from a long-term care medication cart company to a worldwide source for mobility solutions in any healthcare setting. Guth replaces Bill Shields, who recently left the organization to pursue personal interests.
"On behalf of the board, I am pleased to announce this move, as we expand the innovative vision and leadership Paul has brought to Artromick over the past several years," Chairman of the Board Michael Bronfein said. "Paul provides Artromick a great opportunity to build on its 37 years of success, with a clear focus on further developing the company into a strong worldwide resource for mobile healthcare solutions."
Guth joined Artromick in December 2004, bringing 28 years of business management experience with various companies and industries. Most recently, he has served as the COO of the Mobile Solutions Group and has been instrumental in developing customer-friendly processes that drive satisfaction and improve overall corporate efficiency. Prior to Artromick, Guth was vice president of operations at NexPak Corporation from 2000 to 2004, where he was instrumental in the merging of four independent companies and the restructuring of the company to include $25 million in cost savings and a 25% improvement in Six Sigma measurement.
"I look forward to the opportunity presented by being the CEO and president of Artromick," Guth said. "Artromick is in a great position due to our diverse mobile computing cart product line, our strong brand position in all market sectors, and our market success throughout the world."
According to Guth, Artromick will forge ahead with an innovative approach to mobilizing healthcare technology in both the acute and long-term care markets. "Though the business climate is challenging today, Artromick is poised to do great things over the next several years in healthcare facilities worldwide. I'm very pleased to be a part of this great company, and embrace the challenge of taking its heritage of innovation and success into the future."
In addition to his role as the CEO and president of Artromick, Guth serves as the vice-chairman of the board of Wexner Heritage Village, a Columbus-based, not-for-profit CCRC offering rehabilitation, Alzheimer's/dementia, long-term nursing and other services in its continuum of care.
