MEDFORD, NY, August 25, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Orthodontists Dr. Leon Klempner and Dr. David Amram of Coolsmiles Orthodontics organized a special night out for 50 lucky Coolsmiles patients from the Long Island NY area. Each lucky winner received two tickets, one for themselves and one for a parent or guardian, to attend the Mets vs. Braves game on Thursday August 20, 2009 at the new Mets Stadium.
Since only 100 tickets were available, a lottery system was developed by the Coolsmiles orthodontic team to streamline the entire process... start to finish, starting June 15th. Any patient, past or present, who underwent orthodontic treatment in either Coolsmiles location in Medford, NY or Port Jefferson, NY and wore braces or Invisalign was eligible to participate. Official rules were clearly posted in both offices and on the Coolsmiles Blog, Facebook, My Space, and Twitter pages to keep everyone updated on the winners. All patients had to do was pick up a wristband at one of the two Coolsmiles locations. Six or seven lucky winners were drawn every Friday for eight weeks. If the number on their wristband was drawn, patients had seven days to pick up their tickets or they were given away to another lucky winner.
"This is a fun way of giving back to our patients," said Dr. Leon Klempner. "We have been giving away tickets every year for some time now. Over the years we developed a unique system to not only make it fair for all patients, but make it easy on us when choosing the winners."
"I enjoy this time of year" said Virginia Korte, the Coolsmiles organizer of the event. "The kids get so excited looking to see if they won tickets! The entire process went like clockwork in the office and few failed to claim their tickets. Parents loved the concept and no one complained about having to wear the wristbands till their number was chosen or the end of the drawing. One patient even asked if he could go without showering so he didn't ruin his number."
"It was well worth the all the time and effort by the time the game rolled around," said Dr. David Amram. "It's too bad the Mets weren't able to pull it off with the Mets losing 3-2 at the top of the 9th. It didn't matter though; I just loved watching everyone having a good time on a summer night. What better spot to do it than the Mets brand new home Citifield! "
This type of fun event is nothing new for patients at Coolsmiles Orthodontics. They are also inviting all patients and their families to a picnic at Hoyt Farm on Sunday Sept 6th. Not only does Coolsmiles provide beautiful smiles that last a lifetime, Dr Leon Klempner and Dr David Amram also make sure their patients and families experience a fun time while doing it... start to finish.
