Back to School - Reading, Writing and Hypnosis?

    PLANO, TX, August 29, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- All across Texas this past week, yellow became the favorite color of parents and caregivers of school aged kids due, of course, to the release that all parents feel each fall as they place their children on those big school busses and cede temporary care and custody of their kids to the authority of school districts and the responsibility of individual teachers.

Conversely however, those individual teachers feel their responsibilities and worries multiply with each addition to their classroom. Especially in light of bad news recently released by the College Board on concerning SAT scores. In fact, the news came the day after most Texas students returned to class.

It was revealed that Texas' student scores slipped two points in reading to 486 and five points in writing to 475, but gained a point in math to 506. The national averages dipped a point in reading and math to 501 and 493 respectively, while remaining unchanged in math at 515. The SAT's, the most widely used college entrance exam in the country and individual sections, have a maximum score of 800 each.

With Test Score results such as that it's no wonder that some Texas educators and parents may be thinking outside of the box in order to raise test scores and motivate students to do better. It's a trend that Celeste Hackett, a Certified Hypnotist, business entrepreneur and owner of a new State Licensed career school for hypnotists in Texas, has experienced in a couple of different ways: First, parents wanting their children to undergo the Hypnotic process to make them better students and second, Educators looking to acquire skills from the Hypnotic profession to motivate and inspire better performance from those students.

"Just after school starts is traditionally a very busy time for Professional Hypnotists," says Celeste. While it may take quite a while to see if the modern applications of Hypnosis can become a useful tool for professional educators to use in their efforts to raise Texas SAT scores, Celeste Hackett has one more piece of anecdotal evidence that Hypnosis makes an impact with educators, "In my last class I had a school counselor. He started out looking for adjunct professional training, but, by the time the class ended he was so excited about the possibilities of Hypnosis as a profession, he was talking about opening his own private practice!"
