Royal Mail praise Cardinus for their Safety Leadership Course

    COVENTRY, ENGLAND, September 25, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cardinus, (a THB Group plc member company) - providers of online injury reduction solutions and risk management within the safety, fleet, insurance and property sectors, last week launched their new Safety Leadership Training Course, entitled 'Leadership for Health and Safety Practitioners' at the Royal Mail Headquarters in Rugby. The new course has subsequently been endorsed by the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and has been developed in association with the Royal Mail Group.

The four-day in-house course devised by Barry Holt, Head of Health & Safety Consultancy at Cardinus and Keith Scott, Group Head of Safety at Royal Mail Group, covered all aspects of effective safety leadership through topics such as communication, influencing management, change management and business continuity planning. The course is very much focused on health and safety leadership and its importance within the workplace.

Cardinus' Head of Health & Safety Consultancy, Barry Holt commented, "If we are to succeed in integrating health and safety in to the way an organization functions, it is essential that the safety professional understands what drives the business.
