Mary Ann Quinn Inducted into the Cambridge Who's Who Registry

Mary Ann Quinn, "adventurer extraordinaire" has been making history most of her adult life as documented in her autobiography "Above & Beyond the Simple Life." She has twelve years of professional lecturing, motivational speaking, writing, and marketing experience. In 1957, when she made guest appearances on the television shows What's My Line? and To Tell the Truth, she stumped the panelists. She also appeared on Do You Trust Your Wife? hosted by Johnny Carson in New York. Ms. Quinn broke barriers in 1947 as the first female steeplejack (high climber) and again in 1965 when she was issued a California State Contractor's License with steeplejack classification. Ms. Quinn is an entrepreneur in business and a leading authority on the painting and maintenance of flagpoles, having co-founded in 1956 the highly successful business Aerial Engineering, the only one of its kind specializing for 33 years in the maintenance of flagpoles across the U.S. As a champion skier and surfer she placed second in Big Wave Surfing for ABC's Wide World of Sports in Hawaii in 1962. She attributes her success not only in her profession, but in sports and other endeavors, to her passion for excellence, perseverance, knowledge and positive attitude.
