AKRON, OH, November 13, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Although the care of a musician's equipment is necessary for survival, let's face it... no musician is in it for the love of transporting and taking care of gear. That's why GigAccessories.com has been created by working musicians for working musicians to provide products and shortcuts to maintenance, and to try and make the gigging experience as easy as possible.
When Bob Grebelsky founded Gigaccessories.com, a webstore dedicated to providing products to the working musician, he brought 25 years of gigging experience to the plate. His goal was to take his dislike of "roadie-ing", his view of how musicians just want to quickly pack and go at 2:30 a.m., and offer products that make the working musician's life easier.
The website's initial launch of products includes such products as "gaffers tape", which had been specifically used in the stage and television industry in able to mark and remark stages without leaving residue. "I had been using standard duct tape my whole life, crudding-up my cables, and having upscale restaurant owners glaring at our tape/stage marks" Bob stated. "I never knew this even existed". Other products, such as small lightweight dollies have been sized to haul amps and speakers, which also fold to fit under a van seat. As word of his endeavor spread, musicians started approaching him with ideas and items that they have been searching for or would like to see available. One of his favorites, the "Gig Bag" was created to quickly and safely protect a band's cables and microphones. "It's 2:45a.m., your tired, and your tearing down" Bob stated. "Are you tucking each of your $100- $500 microphones into their insulated safety cases, or are you just throwing them into a bag as quickly as possible?" The Gig Bag he's developed simply allows you to quickly and safely store your vital accessories without the worry of finding damaged electrical equipment the next time their needed.
Gig Accessories goal isn't to compete with music stores for instrument, p.a., or effects gear sales. The company goal is create a place that musicians can go to find products that will ease the gigging experience. "We've launched a half dozen products that most musicians have to source in hardware stores, specialty shops or just can't find. If musicians catch on to the idea of using our products to make their lives easier, we could easily triple our product line in a year, so that they can concentrate on what's important - the music!
