WATAUGA, TX, November 26, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- What are you most thankful for? The answer to that question won Beverly Lareau and Bob Roby a Texas a gourmet Thanksgiving dinner like no other.
Chef Point Cafe (http://www.chefpointcafe.org) of Watauga asked the question in their essay contest, the prize was a sumptuous turkey dinner with all the trimmings.
"I thoroughly enjoyed reading all the entries," said Chef Point co-owner Paula Nwaeze. "We were extremely touched by many of the stories and it was very difficult to choose a winner. The one thing we noticed in almost all the stories is as our runner-up essay described, "Thanksgiving is about God and His goodness."
Though most restaurants close on Thanksgiving, Chef Point Cafe is unique in many ways. For Thanksgiving, they offer complete turkey dinners for pick up, hot and read to eat. Chef Franson Nwaeze and his crew cook dozens of turkeys, pounds of sage stuffing, homemade mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, the Chefs famous bread pudding and much more.
The winning essay by Beverly Lareau was a touching but personal tribute to her daughter. However, the runner up essay is available to read on Chef Point's Facebook or Twitter page.
