Talamas Broadcast Hosts Half-Day Seminar on Wireless Communications Techniques

    BOSTON, MA, December 02, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Two dozen of New England's leading production engineers and technicians gathered recently at the headquarters of Talamas Broadcast Equipment (www.talamas.com) in Newton, Mass. to learn about the latest and best practices in wireless communications for the broadcasting, film and theater production industries.

The half-day seminar, held November 9, was conducted by Sennheiser RF specialist Dave Missall in conjunction with audio equipment specialists from the Talamas rental and sales teams.

Missall's presentation addressed the latest in multi-channel wireless microphones and wireless monitoring systems. Topics covered included the latest advances in transmitter and receiver technology, tips on trouble-free operation, frequency coordination and how new FCC policies in digital television are affecting users of wireless microphones.

"These are pretty complex RF systems, with a lot to know about and plan for," said Talamas chief engineer Anthony Bottaro. "We wanted to get some of the latest information out to our colleagues, to help them ensure that their wireless systems will perform without a hitch, even in the toughest environments."

Two of the latest Sennheiser wireless systems -- the new G3 Evolution wireless system and the new 2000 series -- were displayed during the event for participants to inspect and ask technical questions about.
