Dr. Ted Eisenberg Creates Groundbreaking Breast Lift/Augmentation Surgical Technique

Philadelphia cosmetic breast surgeon Dr. Ted Eisenberg's new technique maximizes the lift and minimizes the scarring.

PHILADELPHIA, PA, December 04, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania cosmetic breast surgeon Ted Eisenberg, DO, FACOS, FAACS, has created the innovative Staple-First Technique, which simplifies augmentation/mastopexy for moderately to severely ptotic, or droopy, breasts.

This surgical breakthrough is published in an article Dr. Eisenberg wrote for the September 2009 issue of The American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery entitled "Augmentation Mastopexy for Moderately to Severely Ptotic Breasts: Previsualizing Breast Shape and Symmetry With the Innovative and Versatile Staple-First Technique."

Many women seek a breast lift, or mastopexy, to make breasts perkier after they've sagged from pregnancy, significant weight change, or the natural process of aging. Although a breast lift can raise and reshape breasts, it cannot make them larger. If a woman wants more breast volume, she would need breast implants and then be a candidate for the combination augmentation/mastopexy surgery.

This difficult surgery requires surgeons to deal with opposing tissue forces in order to make the breasts fuller (by stretching the skin with augmentation), and firmer (by tightening the skin with a breast lift) without compromising the circulation of the tissues.

Over the past 50 years, surgeons have created various complex markings to make the procedure more manageable. Each evolution attempted to minimize scarring and maximize the cosmetic result.

In the next stage of this evolution, Dr. Eisenberg has simplified the process with his revolutionary Staple-First Technique. After he places the breast implants, he tightens and tailors the breasts with skin staples, which provides maximum tightening of the extra breast tissue. Most importantly, it allows him to see the final breast shape and symmetry--before he starts the surgery.

In January 2010, Dr. Eisenberg will introduce his technique to fellow cosmetic surgeons at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in Orlando, FL. An abstract of the article can be found on his cosmetic breast surgery website at http://www.lookingnatural.com. The website features information about breast enlargement and lift and includes a gallery of before and after pictures of Dr. Eisenberg's patients.

Dr. Eisenberg is double board-certified in General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has more than 20 years experience. For the first 13 years, he performed plastic and reconstructive surgery from head to toe, introducing pioneering procedures and groundbreaking techniques to the Philadelphia area. Now, he is the only Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon who focuses his practice entirely on cosmetic breast surgery. Along with augmentation/mastopexy, he also performs breast lift, breast augmentation, breast reduction and breast asymmetry correction.
