SPRING GROVE, PA, December 8, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Curtis George Bolig, Commodity Manager of Integrated Supply and Auxiliary Systems for BAE Systems, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military services and supply.
With four years of experience at BAE Systems, Mr. Bolig is considered an expert in fasteners hardware, integrated supply, and Kanban systems. In his current position, he is in charge of developing training programs for the procurement of materials used to manufacture military vehicles. His responsibilities include supervising senior/associate buyers, expediters and procurement support specialists; purchasing supplies for military equipment, establishing long-term agreements and cost analysis, managing negotiations, overseeing strategic development, and conducting research.
Mr. Bolig first joined BAE Systems as an assistant buyer and expediter, and worked his way up to buyer for hardware, buyer for weldment/fabrication, and senior buyer for wheeled vehicles. He is proud to have attained a managerial position within four short years of joining the company as a fresh college graduate. He attributes his rapid rise through the ranks to his "never give up" attitude and the values that he learned from his grandfather, parents and mentors.
Enrolled at York College of Pennsylvania, Mr. Bolig is currently working towards his Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in Management. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management in 2005 from Bucknell University and holds certifications in First Aid and CPR from the American Red Cross. He is a member of the American Management Association, York Young Professionals, the Bison Club of Bucknell University, and the Bucknell Alumni Association. Honors of which he is a recipient include a Small Business Special Recognition Award for his development of a mentor-protege program with a woman-owned small disadvantaged business, three E. Hal Biggs Awards and an Edward W. Pangburn Award, all from Bucknell. In five years, Mr. Bolig aspires to attain a position in executive management or upper management within the supply chain division of BAE Systems.
