PHILADELPHIA, PA, December 25, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Learning Leaders from around the world will convene for three days in The University of Pennsylvania's Ivy League setting, to sharpen critical thinking skills with world-renowned faculty and senior executive peers. Working together, faculty and executives will work through talent development and leadership challenges in a reflective environment, coming away with a renewed sense of purpose and a critical plan to drive strategic business priorities for each participant.
The program, under the theme of uncertainty, will take participants on a 3-day, fast-paced journey:
Day 1 begins by introducing learning leaders to a new way to manage the uncertainty generated by globalization, rapidly changing markets, technological change, and political instability.
Day 2 moves forward with an integration of business & learning strategy, coupled with a focus on talent management implications. Participants will be introduced to several strategy tools and processes including a Learning Balanced Scorecard.
Day 3, the final leg of the journey, includes an in-depth exploration of leadership development, uncovering the implications of radical change being forced on organizations, the new practices emerging in response, and planning assumptions for the future.
"Many of last year's learning leader participants have called this their one, must-attend event because of the quality teaching, action learning, and peer interaction," says Alan Todd, Chairman of Corporate University Xchange.
"The driving force behind this event is our emphasis on helping executives connect real-world business practices with leading-edge academic theory to solve their current business challenges," says Doug Lynch, Penn Vice Dean and co-creator of the Global Leadership Congress. This year's Congress Leaders include:
