Color Copying Company Docucopies Reviews the 2009 Business Year

The leading provider of low-cost color copies and printing recounts the changes which have pushed their business forward in the last 365 days.

HUDSON, WI, December 26, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As the 2009 calendar year comes to an end, the people at Docucopies.com, the Web's leader in low-cost color copies and printing, have been reviewing the steps they've made in evolving their company over the last year.

This year has seen Docucopies.com change in many ways, not the least of which has been a surge in the variety of products and services they offer and significant cuts in price to these and other services.

First, they indefinitely extended a new minimum cost of $50 for all color copy and printing orders (excluding stapled booklets). This price was initially lowered from $70 to boost sales over the typically slow holiday season, but was extended after Docucopies received overwhelming response and praise from their customers and remains at this price today.

Business cards were added to the product lineup soon after. This included a built-in editor on the website, complete with dozens of pre-designed backgrounds with a multitude of themes which allows customers to design their own cards without the need for any photo or graphic editing software.

Docucopies began offering several stocks of 100% post-consumer recycled paper for color copies and other printing jobs in an effort to reduce their environmental impact. They also started offering printed envelopes, perfect binding, lamination, and bulk paper by the case.

Most recently they launched their affiliate marketing program, which allows customers to earn a cash or store-credit commission for referring business to Docucopies.

In what was perhaps the year's biggest news, they also produced a television commercial and sent it to the airwaves. This comedic 30-second spot was written by their in-house blogger, copywriter and public relations officer, and the final product featured guest appearances by two local celebrities: former Minnesota Timberwolf John Thomas, and former Timberwolves owner and Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Champion Bob Stein.

In preparation for the coming year, Docucopies decided to engage their customers online and in the social media sphere with one simple question: "What products or services would you like us to add in 2010?" The employees and managers this week began tallying up requests for such things as UV coating, perforation, and labels, among other products and services, and will be using the data they gather to plan future innovations in the coming year.
