/24-7PressRelease/ - KANSAS CITY, MO, April 17, 2006 - Communication is a part of our everyday experiences. Unfortunately, communication is often ineffective and creates more confusion than clarity. How much time have you spent trying to figure out your teenage daughter - what she wants, what she needs and what is really going on in her life so you can stop worrying about whether or not she knows how to make the right decisions when it really counts?
Communication doesn't have to be so hard - IF you know how to be effective.
Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say: The Art of Authentic Communication, was designed by two sisters who faced similar challenges as teenagers growing up in the Kansas City area. Having successfully graduated from high school while raising their parents at the same time, they learned at a very early age the power of authentic and effective communication for parents and teens.
Michelle Kaye, Counselor and Life Skills Instructor at the Academy of Urban Learning in Denver, and Jenn Kaye, Communication Strategist and Founder of Touch with Intention , have created a high energy, experiential workshop designed to help participants identify what is important to them, how to express their strength and individuality, and provide simple and immediately usable tips for empowering them to communicate more authentically and effectively in ALL their relationships.
Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say: The Art of Authentic Communication will be presented Friday, April 21st, 2006 from 10am-12pm at the Leedy Voulkos Art Center located at 2012 Baltimore Avenue.
