Turin to Welcome World Figure Skating Championships

    MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, January 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Italy is set to become the centre of the ice skating world this spring as the 100th ISU World Figure Skating Championships come to the country.

The competition is being held at Palavela and more than 30,000 spectators as well as 350 journalists are expected to descend on the venue for the occasion.

Over 220 athletes will be taking to the ice and showing their skills at the event, which is considered to be one of the most important in the figure skating calendar.

The competition runs from Sunday March 21st until Sunday March 28th.

Ticket prices range from EUR10 (GBP8.69) to EUR120. Weekend tickets are priced at EUR149-EUR289, while full event tickets cost EUR271 - EUR540 for real fans of skating.
