Stratos Jet Charters, Inc. Hires Wyvern to Audit Charter Flights

    WINTER PARK, FL, February 02, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stratos Jet Charters, Inc., a Florida-based jet charter agency, recently announced the inception of the Wyvern Pilot and Aircraft Safety Survey (PASS) report into its rigorous charter aircraft safety audit and inspection regimen for all charter flights.

Known throughout the industry as the "Wyvern Standard," the PASS report determines if participating aircraft operators meet with strict pilot experience and aircraft maintenance standards. Raising the bar for current aviation safety practices, Stratos Jets charter agents can now better determine if Part 135 aircraft operators are "PASS ready" and if they are the safest choice for their clients.

In order to obtain "PASS ready" status from Wyvern, aircraft operators must possess a long list of requirements including FAA certification, proper insurance and a FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification. Crewmembers are required to hold a current medical certificate and obtain a predetermined number of flight hours in order to fly.

According to Joel Thomas, president of Stratos Jets, the inception of the PASS report into his company policy will add value to every arranged charter flight by providing added assurance of flight safety. Thomas said that his charter agency has continuously prided itself on its strict safety standards for all charter flights. Prior to the Wyvern PASS report system, Stratos Jets relied solely on ARG/US Trip Cheq safety audits, and was one of the few charter agencies in the industry to require an approved third-party audit on all charter flights booked.
