Phuket Hosts International Soccer Sevens

    PHUKET, THAILAND, February 03, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- People using Phuket hotels will have an opportunity to put their football skills to the test next month, when the second Phuket Spicy Soccer 7s gets underway.

The tournament has been described as "the hottest thing in Phuket in February" and will see teams from around south-east Asia compete over two days at the FIFA Phuket Tsunami Football Centre.

Participants can look forward to three levels of competition - cup, plate and bowl - with trophies available for both the winners and runners-up at each level.

Teams are permitted to register a maximum of 12 players and games are played with rolling substitutions.

The action will begin with a captains' briefing and a free welcome party on the evening of Friday February 26th, with food provided.

Each team captain will be given copies of the official programme and shirts for their players.

On Saturday, the tournament will begin at 08:30 local time and finish for the day at 17:00, after which players can enjoy a free evening of rest and relaxation in their Thailand hotels.

The second phase of the competition then gets underway at 08:30 on Sunday morning, culminating in an awards party with a live band and buffet dinner.
