LOS ANGELES, CA, February 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- MOMs Travel Club, recently launched by two stay-at-home-moms, finds its' niche by catering to moms and their children who have a love of travel and adventure to connect with other moms with similar interests for fun, education and traveling support.
Scheduled vacations will include cruises, kid-friendly resorts on Hawaii and the Caribbean, excursions to South America and Europe as well as weekend getaways and soon will introduce Mom-only trips. Members are also encouraged to submit their travel suggestions and advice so that it will feel like a true networking experience.
MOMs Travel Club is not modeled after the "traditional" group tours. No vigorous itineraries are arranged where everyone feels obligated to participate. Moms are free to plan the day to do whatever they want or nothing at all. Moms travel with the group for the support and camaraderie with other moms that share similar interests.
MOMs Travel Club's first vacation for 2010 is a Mommy & Me Mexican Riviera Cruise aboard Carnival Cruise Lines' Splendor on April 25th. Carnival Splendor sails out of Los Angeles weekly and offers a wide range of fun activities for kids age 2-17 as well as babysitting services in the evening.
Cassandra Melhuish, mom to 2 year old Dylan, and Nicole Williams, mom to 5 year old Zack, met through another mommy and me support group. They both revealed how much they have such an interest in traveling, and don't mind bringing the kids along, when the idea struck that there has to be other moms out there in similar circumstances.
"Our goal is to find like-minded women all over the globe who have a love of travel and want to explore that passion for learning and experiencing new cultures with our children," they said. "Our mission is to join Moms together worldwide and experience each other's culture and learn from one another by traveling together as a group."
"I was 29 weeks pregnant when my son was born, we spent the first 6 months of his life in the hospital," says Cassandra, "that experience changed my life. I spent over 15 years in the corporate world in Finance, now that life has changed, I've decided to focus on my passions in life and travel is one of those passions."
Nicole was also hit with life-changing news when her son was diagnosed with Type1 diabetes at the age of 3. "Traveling has always been a passion of mine," she says, "and now my son is beginning show a love for travel and adventure as well and it would be great to share that experience with him."
MOMs Travel Club is not a travel agency and the co-founders are not travel agents but have combined experience in finance, marketing and event planning. They consult with experienced and knowledgeable travel agents to make for an enjoyable and memorable vacation experience.
There are many great Support and Social Groups for Moms that chat about travel and give advice on traveling with kids, and MOMs Travel Club will be an extension of that by offering travel to great destinations for moms and kids to connect and explore with others worldwide.
