SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, February 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Scottish indie kings Franz Ferdinand are heading to Australia for the Future Music Festival tour later this month.
For anyone not lucky enough to catch the band at one of those dates, they will also be playing a special one-off show at the Luna Park amusement centre on Thursday March 4th.
With support provided by up-and-coming Australian bands Yves Klein Blue and Philadelphia Grand Jury, the gig promises to be a memorable occasion for people staying in Sydney hotels.
Luna Park is located at Milsons Point on the northern shore of Sydney Harbour and its Big Top auditorium is capable of holding crowds of up to 2,950 people for major music events.
The atmosphere should be electric for Franz Ferdinand, who have been rapidly acquiring fans around the world since their self-titled debut album was released in 2004.
Following the success of hits such as Take Me Out, Michael and This Fire, the Glasgow group went on to release two further albums, You Could Have It So Much Better and Tonight: Franz Ferdinand.
Tickets for their Luna Park show are priced at $90.85 (GBP51) and the music will begin at 19:30 local time.
