/24-7PressRelease/ - POWELL RIVER, BC, CANADA, May 05, 2006 - The people who developed Lifeboat Data Rescue, Coracle File Transfer, and Nauticus Deep Data Storage are pleased to introduce their first freeware product called The Hook.
Tugboat Enterprises Ltd is a member of the Association of Shareware Professionals www.asp-shareware.org and The Hook is Tugboat's first contribution to the active and growing Freeware community. The Hook is a program that instantly provides an accounting of all devices currently installed on a computer.
"This is a very useful program," said Jonathan Lyster, Chief Technology Officer, "because if you don't know which device is installed in a Windows application you can't figure out which driver will make it run. Windows will not let the operator access that information."
While The Hook was initially developed to assist computer technicians and computer support personnel, the principals at Tugboat Enterprises have found it is so simple to use that it is a very useful tool for every Windows user to have in their toolbox.
"Tugboat Enterprises is a company with a great future in data recovery, forensics and data management, keen on building a strong network and contributing to our colleagues," President Gordon Wilson said. "The Hook is our first offering of freeware. We look forward to more in the near future."
Tugboat Enterprises Ltd is a start up software company which first introduced their highly successful Lifeboat Data Rescue in 2005 and has followed that with Nauticus Deep Data Storage, a fully automated off-site data storage system, Coracle, a data transfer program, and The Window on the Middle of Nowhere, live streaming video from their office that looks onto the Malaspina Strait in the Pacific Northwest.
Tugboat Enterprises prides itself in the development of software that is highly reliable and easy for non-technical people to use.
The Window on the Middle of Nowhere, Lifeboat Data Rescue, Coracle, the Hook, and Nauticus can be seen on the Tugboat website at www.tugboatenterprises.com Industry reviews of Tugboat products are at www.pcnet-online.com/index.html and www.kickstartnews.com/reviews/utilities/nauticus_deep_data_storage_ksn.html
TUCOWS Must Have Applications - Lifeboat by Dr. File Finder, December 22, 2005
Lifeboat saved me hours of work. The Lifeboat Data Rescue System is brilliantly simple... Lifeboat can save your files even if the operating system has failed! I haven't seen another program that can make that claim. Lifeboat, by Tugboat Enterprises, Ltd., is in my opinion a program that should be included with every computer. Because you never know what will trigger the crash. Lifeboat (has) become what I consider to be a true must have application!
If you don't buy the program now, at least bookmark this page in case you need Lifeboat in the future. The builders of the Titanic said it was unsinkable and didn't install enough lifeboats. They were wrong and it cost the passengers everything. If you have a crash, make sure you have a LifeBoat!
