COTSWOLDS, ENGLAND, February 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anyone who wants to see the first indications that spring and warmer weather are on their way may want to book hotels in the Cotswolds at the end of March.
On the weekend of the 21st and 22nd, nature lovers will gather in the area around the village of Kempley for two days of events devoted to the famous flower.
The owner of the nearby Woodhouse Farm Cottages explained that visitors can choose to join one of the organised walks that follows the daffodil trail or those who are not so energetic can take a bus to see the fields filled with the blooms.
According to the Gloucestershire Tourism website, this is one of the only places in Britain that the yellow flowers grow in such numbers in the wild.
It also noted that there are a number of picturesque buildings to be explored in the villages, such as the Dymock church, which also serves refreshments during the daffodil weekend and raising money for repairs to the building.
This year's event is particularly special as it is celebrating 50 years of the Daffodil Line - which refers to the old railway that has now become a popular route for walkers in the area.
