SINGAPORE, March 06, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A forthcoming event is set to provide people using Singapore hotels with the perfect excuse to eat out.
The 2010 World Gourmet Summit arrives in the city-state on Sunday April 11th, bringing culinary masters from around the world to share their expertise and host celebrity dinners.
Described as an "international gastronomic extravaganza" by organiser Peter Knipp Holdings, this annual event should to appeal to anyone with an interest in world cuisine and fine wines.
Several of the world's most celebrated chefs will be hosting events during the WGS, which runs until Sunday April 25th at various restaurants across Singapore.
Frenchman Michel Rostang, a holder of two Michelin stars, will be cooking for the Domaine Jacques-Frederic Mugnier wine dinner at the St Regis Singapore on April 19th.
Other chefs due to appear include Italy's Andrea Breton, who has acquired two Michelin stars for his eatery Il Ristorante Trussardi Alla Scala in Milan.
Breton is set to host a culinary workshop in the At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy on April 20th, with tickets currently priced at S$140 (GBP66).
Another popular feature of the WGS is the Awards of Excellence, which recognises the outstanding performers in Singapore's food and beverage industry each year.
