Barcelona Asian Film Festival Poised to Kick Off - LateRooms.com

    BARCELONA, SPAIN, April 06, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fans of Far Eastern cinema may want to begin organising their trip to Spain soon, as the Barcelona Asian Film Festival is due to begin soon and will be showcasing some of the brightest talents in the region.

Running from April 30th to May 9th, the event will see 70 film screenings and six short film programmes displayed, so there is plenty of choice for guests at Barcelona hotels.

Some of the highlights of the festival are set to Park Chan-ok's Paju, Like You Know It All by Hong Sang-soo and the latest contribution from a regular at the festival Adolfo Alix, entitled Aurora.

Mr Alix also co-directed another film in the selection called Manila with Raya Martin, so attendees will have two opportunities to follow his work.

This will be the 12th edition of the Barcelona Asian Film Festival and will see movies being shown in the Cine Rex, Cines Aribau Club 2, CCCB Hall and CCCB Auditori, with a full programme of screenings available on the festival website.

Among the other big names who will be presenting their work at the event will be Bong Joon-ho, Johnnie To and Tsai Ming-liang.

Tickets start at EUR4.50 (GBP4), but there are concessions available for attending multiple films, according to What's on When.
