Wix.com Offers Multilingual Support for Flash Website Design with Spanish and Italian Facebook and Twitter Pages

    NEW YORK, NY, April 15, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Building a free website was just made even simpler for Wix.com's Spanish, Italian and French users. The company created its innovative Flash website building technology, opening the doors of web design to those not technically inclined. Those doors were opened even wider to Wix's already extensive community of international users. With this month's release of Wix Espanol and Wix Italia Facebook fan pages and Twitter accounts, Wix is "speaking" Spanish and Italian.

Through the brand-new Facebook and Twitter channels, Spanish and Italian-speaking Wix users now receive the latest Wix updates, in their own language. These updates include Wix news, promotions, server status, links to web design blogs, and tips on optimizing websites for SEO. E-mails were sent last week to Wix Spanish and Italian speakers, notifying them of the new social media communities. Spanish, Italian and French Wix forums have been active since last year. Yet the introduction of this month's foreign language social media channels will provide a more integrated and energized platform for information exchange.

Additional innovations include a translation of Wix's online Help Center, Wixpedia. Articles on how to use the website builder are currently being translated into French and Italian, and the ISQ database of questions will be available in Spanish. Wix's French, Spanish and Italian home pages have also been updated and made more functional.

Marketing Director Omer Shai describes Wix's objectives in launching the new channels, and enhancing foreign-language support. "Foreign-language speakers have been using Wix for quite some time. By providing better means of support to these users, Wix is strengthening the ties within the broader Wix community." Future plans for the company could include foreign language versions of the product itself.

In the meantime, the English-based website builder is highly intuitive even for foreign speakers, with its graphic interface and drag-and-drop editorial process. Once a Flash template is selected from Wix's immense template gallery, the customization process begins. Users can replace any design element within the template with their own, including text, images, animation, music and video files.
