NAPLES, ITALY, April 25, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Boats taking part in the Three Gulfs Cup are set to begin their nautical journey from Naples and travel around the nearby isles to try to win the 2010 title.
On May 28th, more than 100 competitors are expected to line up to take part in this annual regatta - known as Tre Golfi in Italian - with several beautiful boats on display for watching crowds to admire.
The race has become the "pride and joy of Neapolitan yachting", according to the organisers, who claimed that one of the smaller races, the Campionato Nazionale del Tirreno, is having to be held on a larger harbour in Ischia rather than in Capri due to the volume of people taking part.
However, the main race will still begin and end near to Naples hotels, so people interested in attending the start of the challenge should head down to the Castel dell'Ovo at midnight to see the boats set off.
Competitors involved in the contest will travel 170 nautical miles around Naples, Salerno and Gaeta.
Another boating date to watch out for in the near future is June 24th to 26th, when the Summer Interclub Race will be taking place in Italy.
Jessica Reading, head of marketing for LateRooms, commented: "Demand for the Three Gulf's Cup is always significant and we recommend that anyone considering attending should book their hotel Napoli as early as possible."
