SHANGHAI, CHINA, April 25, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anyone who enjoys browsing stalls featuring stunning art and exquisitely crafted jewellery pieces should think about booking accommodation in Shanghai next month.
From May 16th to 23rd, the city will play host to the international fair for the second time, which will be held at the Rockbund on Yuanmingyuan road.
Among the pieces on display will be antiquities, paintings, jewellery and both modern and contemporary works of art, the event's website reveals.
French jewellery designer Lorenz Baumer is one of the exhibitors at next month's fair.
He explained that each of his pieces is designed for a specific person and should be "so distinctive to the individual, that even if they are not wearing it, one could know who it belongs to".
Art galleries from around the world will also be setting up installations at the event, including Oi Ling Antiquities - which specialises in old Chinese works of art - and Galerie Schmit, which focuses on 19th and 20th century masters.
Tickets to the exhibition cost 200 RMB (GBP19.23), with the fair open to visitors from 11:00 until 19:00 (local time) each day, apart from Sundays when it closes at 18:00.
A private showing of the exhibits will also take place by invitation only on May 15th.
