NAPLES, ITALY, April 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Movie enthusiasts may wish to book their Naples hotels soon if they are going to attend the Naples Film Festival, which showcases a variety of domestic and international feature length flicks, as well as shorts.
The event will be held from June 5th to 11th and there will be six prizes on offer to entrants.
For filmmakers who have produced a short of some sort, there is the SchermoNapoli, SchermoNapoli Scuola and the SchermoNapoli Quick.
The first of these involves flicks that have been produced in Naples, the second is a category devoted entirely to films and documentaries made in the region's schools and the third relates to content produced as part of a 50-hour marathon of filmmaking that is taking place before the event.
Other than these three accolades, there are also three prizes for feature films and documentaries.
Nuovo Cinema Italia covers low-budget Italian movies, Europa Mediterraneo includes international entrants and SchermoNapoli Documentari looks at the documentaries submitted.
The list of films to be shown during the Naples Film Festival has yet to be released, but the best productions will shown at Castel Sant'Elmo, although the organisers have revealed that they hope to put together screenings across the Campania region.
Recently, the team behind this event were able to secure an exhibition of Dino Risi's work at the prestigious MoMa art museum in New York.
To make the most of the Naples Film Festival, you should consider booking your hotel Napoli to avoid disappointment.
