MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, May 09, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lord Byron's Manfred will be performed at the Teatro Stabile di Torino, which could offer a perfect opportunity for travellers to take a break from sightseeing and enjoy a cultural occasion.
In this show, which guests at accommodation in Turin can see from June 11th to 16th, the words of the legendary British writer have been translated by Enzo Moscato and director Andrea De Rosa has turned the story into an orchestral piece with compositions for solo voice and chorus.
The venue explained that Lord Byron was a "great lover" of Italy and his poetic ideals could be said to have inspired Italy in some ways.
Some of the key themes that the establishment picked out in the story of Manfred are the solitude of the superman and the clash between humans and the supernatural.
"Director Andrea De Rosa has accustomed us to perceive a theatre performance as a multi-sensory experience and Manfred is an unmissable challenge for his talent, which spread beyond the Italian borders some time ago," remarked the organisers.
Performances take place at 20:45 (local time) on weekdays and Saturday, while the Sunday showing will begin at 15:30.
Tickets start from EUR43.46 (GBP36.64) and are available from several Internet vendors.
Lord Byron's most celebrated works include She Walks in Beauty and When We Two Parted.
