BILBAO, SPAIN, May 12, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- People relaxing at accommodation in Bilbao can treat themselves in June by visiting the ACT 2010 Festival, which is running from June 1st to 5th.
Run by the Theatre School of Bizkaia, the ACT Festival has been running for seven years and offers emerging artists the opportunity to show off their talents, as well as inviting amateurs to express their creativity.
Part of the fun for participants is that the organisers put together special meals for the artists, so that they can share their experiences and thoughts with their peers.
As with many festivals, there are accolades to be won, with the Prize ACT - Arriaga rewarding the best short piece with EUR3,000 (GBP2,600) and the Prize Dantzine handed to the best dance videos along with EUR1,500.
There will also be various 'special mention' awards.
One section of the event which could prove to be especially interesting is the International Young Maker's Exchange, a project that started six years ago and displays the best work from partner festivals across the continent.
Shows will take place in various venues across the city, such as Teatro Barakaldo and Bilborock, with prices varying depending on the performance.
For more information on this event visit the ACT 2010 website or contact the venue on +34 944 389 096.
If you're heading to the ACT 2010 Festival this year, we strongly advise that you book your hoteles en Bilbao as soon as possible, given the huge popularity of the event.
