TURIN, ITALY, May 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fans of heavy metal have got one hell of a good weekend to look forward to when Gods of Metal takes place in Turin this summer.
Some of the biggest names in the genre have already been confirmed to play at the event, which boasts two stages and is sure to attract plenty of revellers to hotels in Turin from Friday June 25th to Sunday 27th.
The first day will be dominated by headliners Killswitch Engage, who will go on to play the Grasspop Festival in Dessel, Belgium a few days later.
As well as them, Fear Factory and As I Lay Dying are likely to be highlights of the opening 24 hours, with music finishing at 22:30 (local time).
On the Saturday, popular metal bands such as Lordi, Raven and Exodus will be giving high-octane performances to send the crowd wild, but it is Sunday that sees the most star-studded line-up.
Not only are legendary group Motorhead topping the bill, they will be supported on the day by Bullet For My Valentine and Cannibal Corpse, as well as several other great acts.
If that is not enough to satisfy even the most picky metaller, then they can pop over to the second stage and see Soulfly play their unique brand of tribal tunes.
Tickets for the event, which is taking place at the Parco della Certosa Reale, cost EUR40 (GBP34) for one day or EUR80 for the whole festival.
